The RE_TEE project aims to understand the Graphic Design Industry’s impact on our environment and our role and responsibility to influence sustainability positively. The goal was to create an eco-friendly product and packaging design. I completed a design for wrapping paper, mailing satchel, full branding, and infographics in my work.
RE_TEE company is a clothing company whose primary goal is reasonable production. The RE_TEE was made more human, ethical, and ecological. The brand has an accent to reduce fabric production's water and energy levels and generate fully recyclable packaging. The future of the RE_TEE is to reduce environmental and community impact. Each fabric component is chosen with excellent attention and criteria, including softness and ethics. The balance between 45% hemp and 55% cotton threads is the ideal choice ethically and ecologically.
The logo design for RE_TEE is a t-shirt form, clear lines and a brand name combined. Two logo versions (vertical and horizontal) are in four colours for brand promotion. The colour palette of RE_TEE is recognisable and straightforward. The symbols created a pattern for future brand advertisements.
The company’s mission is to make production and material choices to significantly reduce the environmental impact by using reusable wrapping paper and compostable mailing satchels more ecologically from RE_TEE to customers.
For packaging, REE_TEE uses 100% Recyclable paper to minimise materials and reduce the number of virgin trees to new paper creation. Green Power and 100% post-consumer waste recycled papers positively affect wrapping paper production. The SMYK vegetable-based ink does not contain heavy metals or other chemicals. That may harm the environment. Vegetable-based ink is a renewable resource and easier to de-ink from paper. The company tagline is “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle-be Reasonable”. That are three steps to being more polite to our living planet. We can all do to make our wardrobes more planet-friendly.
